This time a long weekend to Vermont to work on our portfolios. <br \/>\n We stayed at the <a href=\u201dhttp:\/\/www.mapleleafinn.com\/\u201d target=\u201d_blank\u201d>Maple Leaf Inn in Barnard, VT<\/a>&#8212;a wonderful Inn run by Nancy and Mike Boyle about 10 miles or so from Woodstock, located at the end of a long drive into the woods.  Very comfy, great breakfasts, Beckett the guard dog, and terrific hosts made busy days fly by. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/MapleLeafInn.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/MapleLeafInn-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Maple Leaf Inn, Barnard, VT\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nMaple Leaf Inn\n<\/p>\n<p>Very quiet and surrounded by flowers it was perfect for our plans to head in different directions each day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/flowers.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/flowers-sm.jpg\" alt=\"Flowers\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe clematis was outside the breakfast room window. So pretty\n<\/p>\n<p>Sunday we headed west and hiked up to photograph.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/hike.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/hike-sm.jpg\" alt=\"mountain view\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nLooking past my shoes to the mountains from the top of our hike.\n<\/p>\n<p>And Monday we headed north and hiked down.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/down.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/summer14\/down-sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nTexas Falls in Hancock, VT<br \/>\n(This beautiful area was severely damaged by Hurricane Irene but is now open to hikers once more.)\n<\/p>\n<p>Lots of  good images, lots of sore muscles (the inn\u2019s whirlpool bath was great), and lots to work on now that we are home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another Working Vacation.
