
{"id":41,"date":"2007-05-30T23:02:13","date_gmt":"2007-05-30T23:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/?p=41"},"modified":"2017-11-17T19:33:04","modified_gmt":"2017-11-18T00:33:04","slug":"wetlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/wetlands\/","title":{"rendered":"Wetlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This spring a friend and client, Jeanne Ruddy whose dance trope, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ruddydance.org\" target=\"_blank\">Ruddy Dance<\/a> is located in Philadelphia, choreographed a work called Oceans 1:Wetlands dealing with environmental problems facing the NJ Wetlands.<\/p>\n<p>Jeanne\u2019s passion is contagious and as a result I gave my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philau.edu\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia University<\/a> Graphic and Digital Design sophomores a project to design an advocacy poster on the topic. Most of my students had never heard of wetlands or at least had not been too concerned. Much research,  and lots of design exploration was required\u2014and at the end of the semester time was short.
