{"id":4120,"date":"2017-07-14T22:23:22","date_gmt":"2017-07-15T02:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/?p=4120"},"modified":"2017-11-18T21:18:07","modified_gmt":"2017-11-19T02:18:07","slug":"process-and-practice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/process-and-practice\/","title":{"rendered":"Process&#8230;and Practice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am heading to Colorado for a little loom tapestry workshop and thought I should review what I had learned earlier this year&#8230;Well&#8230;It&#8217;s a good thing!<br \/>\nI decided to work with the sweet little horns I saw on the bison at Fermi Labs, so I made lots of sketches, cropped my photos  and narrowed it down to a simple design derived from the slight curve on a wooly background with just a bit of reflection. I know I need practice with curves so keeping it simple seemed like a good idea. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/bison\/ideas.jpg\" ><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"rough Ideas\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/bison\/ideas.jpg\" alt=\"sketchbook page\" width=\"\" height=\"350\" \/> <\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/bison\/finalSketch.jpg\" ><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"final sketches\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/bison\/finalSketch.jpg\" alt=\"final sketches\" width=\"\" height=\"350\" \/> <\/a><br \/>\nsketching<\/p>\n<p>I was happy with my design and warped the loom. Lots of redos and I still need a lot of work on curves.
