{"id":4359,"date":"2018-02-07T16:20:27","date_gmt":"2018-02-07T21:20:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/?p=4359"},"modified":"2018-02-12T09:09:17","modified_gmt":"2018-02-12T14:09:17","slug":"4359-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/4359-2\/","title":{"rendered":"New Loom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thought I&#8217;d end up getting a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirrixlooms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mirrix<\/a> loom but not for a year or so &#8211; then when I joined ATA I saw that I&#8217;d get 10% off if I got one within three months &#8211; so I figured I needed to see how it went sooner but then I saw they were having a 20% off on the one I wanted&#8230;so my cheap little heart spent money to save money&#8230; and guess what came today!!!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/mirrix.jpg\" ><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"My new Mirrix loom!.\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/mirrix.jpg\" alt=\"Image of my new Mirrix loom\" width=\"500\" height=\"\" \/> <\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the mean time I thought I&#8217;d review basics as I know more in my brain than in my fingers and while I&#8217;d like to experiment with my 6 epi loom at 12 epi, I was still waiting for 20\/6 warp which has not been available for several months &#8211; so I warped up my 8 epi and experimented with different wefts etc. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/hokett.jpg\" ><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Experimenting with wefts at 8 epi..\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/weaving\/hokett.jpg\" alt=\"Image of my latest tests.\" width=\"\" height=\"450\" \/> <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Been experimenting with <a href=\"https:\/\/harrisville.com\/\/collections\/weave\/Weaving-Yarn\" target=\"_blank\">Harrisville<\/a> Highlands yarn and planning to place an order as I&#8217;m weak on spring colors &#8211; yellows, greens etc.<\/p>\n<p>About 30 min after the Mirrix came I got an email from <a href=\"https:\/\/woolery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Woolery<\/a> that my 20\/6 warp has been shipped. Opps &#8211; with this warp I want finer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weaversbazaar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Weavers Bazaar<\/a> yarn&#8230;..
