It was dyed and then buried as an experiment. When I went to dig it up I couldn&#8217;t find it! Hence the &#8220;Heist&#8221;. The poor thing was torn with very distressed fibers. After washing and drying it it was repaired, attached it to dyed linen and backed with a piece of thin felt for stability.<\/p>\n<p style=\" text-align: center;\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Found Project\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/2022\/LostFound-5.jpg\" alt=\"Image of Found Project\" width=\"450\" height=\"\"\/> <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Found Project\" src=\"http:\/\/bethemmott.com\/blog\/extra\/images\/2022\/LostFound-6.jpg\" alt=\"Image of Repaired Project\" width=\"450\" height=\"\"\/><br \/>\nFound and Repaired Project<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m happy with the result showing the work involved plus a sense of decay\u2014nothing&#8217;s permanent. Another time I will bury one in the warmer weather and will mark it better.
