Henry Moore’s Sketchbook

July 20th, 2012

Working on sketching sheep for a project and remembered a book I haven’t looked at in years. “Henry Moore’s Sheep Sketchbook”. Dug out my copy and spent a rainy afternoon with an old friend and a cup of tea.

My copy with it’s dogeared cover.

Looked it up on line to see if it is still in print and discovered that it was reissued as a paperback. (Also found a video about the reissue.)

Candles on the deck

July 15th, 2012

We like to eat outside whenever we can in the summer. Our deck has a covered portion with a ceiling fan that makes most nights just right. And we use lots of candles! (Most have some sort of protection from the breeze created by the fan.)

July 14th, 2012

Bananas get over ripe quickly in the summer. What to do? Make Banana Bread!
Add Saga cheese, Mellon and wine for a light summer supper!

MovieQueen…extra

July 3rd, 2012

Note
My Mom, a.k.a., Movie Queen, died last month at 91. This is what prompted my transcribing the news clippings. While going through her papers today I came across the above note from my dad, Curtin Reinhardt to his Movie Queen.
